Continuing on my quest to fest up my living room I decided to make up some pom pom garland. I had pink, turquoise and yellow yarn that I wound into pom poms. I made up ten of each color.
After winding up a bunch of yarn around a piece of cardboard I carefully pulled the yarn off the cardboard and tied a string around the middle. Then cut the loops in half to pom it out.
Using a needle I threaded all the poms together.
Adding to my window of garland. Ideally my garlands would hang all the way down the sides of the curtains but my one year old would be all over pulling it down.

I just saw some pom pom garland in a store on Sunday (and thought about buying it), but I like the way that the homemade pompoms look better!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the simple idea on how to make pom poms. I've seen people making them, but using a special device. This looks much simpler and less costly with not needing extra equipment.
